Social occupational therapy and dissenting genders and sexualities: experiences from extension projects

چکیده

Abstract This study addresses the experience report of ResisTO university extension project in partnership with a municipal public policy state capital northeastern Brazil aimed at gender and sexuality dissenting population. The is organized into three parts: first part, presented contextualized; second part discusses social occupational therapy, its history, approach to debates on sexualities; third presents trajectory actions developed partnerships carried out over six years project’s existence, listing reflecting main challenges potential work developed. has been dedicated reflections that are based analysis markers difference—especially, genders sexualities—and intersectionality. It also anchored theoretical-methodological framework therapy policies LGBTQIAP+ Over execution, through different actions, it was possible promote access democratic knowledge questioning essentialization differences inequalities, seek ways living together respect solidarity, produce strategies respond individual collective needs subjects, aiming build expand rights producing actions.
